If you make the MRT free, you'd be lucky to squeeze yourself in after four trains. The trains and stations might not have the capacity to accommodate free riders.

2. It might become a disincentive for people who currently bike to work to take the free public transport instead.

3. Often, people do not give value to goods that do not have a monetary value attached to it to avail it.. as in the case of air for breathing.

4. The light rails in Manila as with most developing countries are already heavily subsidized with only urban/city dwellers benefiting from it. Because of its high costs for operations and fuel etc, you might risk spending money better spent on education or rural development instead.damingbenefitshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02167464068840968984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-311303535557911758.post-12065637499145171652009-02-11T23:57:00.000-08:002009-02-11T23:57:00.000-08:00I believe anything can be done through goodwill. With that in mind, free public transport may help and improve the public and the individual in many other ways, as already mentioned above.
Taking into consideration that the MRT and LRT are already accumulating money from numerous advertisements, the trains should already be able to serve public transport for free.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14516915344495755236noreply@blogger.com
